The Nafplion shower hearts.

Nafplion. I've never seen a city with so many present hearts. They were everywhere, winking playfully at me, as they all knew what I do with them.

The ant heart.

Little ant went  down the woods to find some food. He passed bridges, leaves and families of pine trees. He met foxes, cicadas, beetles and bees. Under a stone, he found a hidden beating heart that looked so sad and so alone, that little ant forgot about the food.

The Just Married hearts.

Whey they got married, there were no parties, no family tears or ceremony extremities with cheesy toasts and buffet treats. She and He knew that all they really wanted was a car and a road as big as life itself.

Drawing made by Diana. The bride.

The decibel heart.

This group of hearts doesn't really enjoy being on that space. They may like the sound of the word 'decibel' but not the meaning. The associate it with loud, ear-breaking noises that serve no good.

The Geometry hearts.

"When two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, the alternate interior angles are always equal. In our heart case, children, angles a and b are equal. a = b!"

Little Rina-Katerina was looking speechless at her teacher. Mrs. GeomeTree was using Rina-Katerina's heart sweater to teach the above theory.

Rina-Katerina wished all teachers were imaginative and fun like Mrs. GeomeTree! Not like Mr. Algebra who picks his nose all the time, then makes meatball-shaped bogies that he...

a. keeps in his special bogie box
b. uses for "2X+3X=?" equations where X=1 bogie ball
c. throws at pigeons to stop their annoying, diarrhea habits.

If all teachers in the world were like Mrs. GeomeTree, everyone would wanna go to school! No?

The magic pot heart.

What bliss. How good things grow. And when they do, all fears and insecurities dissappear. The walls collapse and a new era of true giving begins. To love and affection then.

The Guerilla heart.

My uncle used to say this: "No matter what my political beliefs are, no man's head deserves to be hanged on a square for people to cheer and look at". Decades after this man's death, these things still happen. It must be the animal instinct that never goes away.

The dead man's heart.

If the ambulance got there on time, this transplant donor's heart could have found its way into someone else's body. If.

The clean hearts.

I live next to a hysterical, middle aged woman. She does her washing twice a week and hangs it out on the thick, black strings of her balcony. This is the view from my balcony when I wake up in the morning to get ready and enjoy a hot cup of delicious coffee before work.

The English Idiom heart.

heavy heart: when someone has a heavy heart, one feels sad, depressed, weighted down by sorrow.
ex. He went to his aunt's funeral with a heavy heart.

The pig without a heart.

And that goes to the plenty of pigs I see around. The pigs at the "Animal Farm" are heartless.

The traffic lights heart.

The city Lou would like to visit has empty boulevards. No cars. No claxons. The smaller streets are made of concrete, the tiny paths are pebbled. Traffic lights work in mysterious ways coz they're not needed, the air smells of herbs and the rain can be swallowed. Give it a name on the count of three. 1, 2...

Hardy's shoeprint
Hardy with shoes back on

Hardy's reflexology heart - PART II.

...Continued from "Laurel's reflexology heart".

The mountain guru left Laurel laughing in the studio. He went over to Hardy and told him the same thing he'd told Laurel: "There's a spot on the sole of your foot that connects to the heart!" Hardy's eyes popped out with excitement.

But when he took off his left shoe and sock to let the guru show him the secret spot, a strange smell of boiled cauliflower and dinosaur egg yolks, swam in the air. Hardy's feet reeked so much, he had to put back on his sock and shoe in no time!

Dissapointed,  the guru drew a heart on  Hardy's shoe sole and left the studio thinking how irresistibly similar Laurel & Hardy were.

 Laurel's reflexology heart - PART I.

Laurel refused to take off his shoes after the shooting of the "Big Bussiness" in 1929.

He thought it funny that a mountain guru was telling him there's a point on the sole of your foot that connects to the heart. His giggles echoed in the studio. The guru got angry. He grabbed Laurel's shoe sole, drew on it the heart-point and went off to find Hardy. He was secretly hoping for a better reaction.

The pavement heart.

On Easter Sunday, Lou saw a heart on a dirty pavement by her house. It was tiny, lying next to dried chewing gum spits. She thinks it meant something and has started looking for signs ever since.

The potato heart.

Potato knew how to survive. With a shape like this, no one would want to peel her and eat her. Potato is a "she" because a "he" potato would never be so cunningly smart.

The stone heart.

Mr. Stone was lying on the beach of a gorgeous Greek island. That was till a relative found him, kidnapped him and asked me to keep him safe until the next summer vacation. Mr. Stone is single but hopes to find mutual love in the face of another heart-shaped existing stone in one of the beaches of this world.

The dragonfly heart.

Have you ever heard of the myth? Dragonflies used to be called snake doctors. They approached dead snakes and brought them back to life. Just like this one.

The horse riding stick heart.

My granny's great great great granny bought this riding stick some centuries ago. My family believes this one and the one previously published on this blog are related. My father spent years on the study of the resembling horses and came to a logical conclusion:

They must have been bought at the same Athenian market. The shop had been run by the same family of sellers and it was passed on to the sons after each father's death.

I personally don't care about this information. I just want to know WHERE the other half of the heart is.

The rocking horse heart.

My great great great grandmother bought this one day at an Athenian market. It now lies in my room and takes my imaginary friends on crazy, rodeo rides.  It's a forever-living-horse with a forever-living-heart.

The hammock heart.

Hey little one,

While growing up you'll hear stories about luxurious resorts topping worldwide lists. Sand dunes made of expensive, golden-painted grains and exquisite hotels dressed in Asia's finest satin. You'll hear of private beaches with secret-password whispers and of priceless design goods carved with skinny tribal hands.

While hearing about all this, don't let anyone, EVER, convince you that this is what beauty is all about.

The ballerina heart.

After a rough draft, one year's hours were needed for Meredith to draw Rina Ballerina's painting. Meredith asked Rina Ballerina to chose what she wanted to hold while posing. And she chose the most common thing in the world. A heart whose holder she secretly hoped to meet one day.

The Cyclop heart.

This little monster doesn't hide in closets because he doesn't like scaring children away. Chances are you' ll see him in random spots around the neighbourhood. Pass him a ball when this happens.

The fish-tail hearts.

How many fish are there, fish?

Easy math for fish with hearts but no practical skills.

The Bizness heart.

In mi family we tri not to use swear words. Except one, which I have startid using too.

Big bizness presentations in meetin roomz, where money-thirsty fat men sweat over, are such a bunch of BoLloX.

The weapon heart.

A couple of full moons ago, the Doon Badoon modern tribe decided to give peace a chance.

Now, when commerce or border related disputes arise, the villagers of Doon Badoon do all their pride-dealings with handrawn weapons.

They shoot with paper guns.
They hit with origami boomerangs and torture with chains made of wrapping paper.

They belong to the first imaginary tribe of modern history that says hello to the other side of weaponry.

The coctail heart.

This is what little white people do on a sunny Sunday. They drink yummy coctails and forget about tomorrow. This is made of squashed watermelon skin, cloud paste, iced raindrops of scandinavian sunrays and tons of red existing things that I'd like you to guess.
