Laurel refused to take off his shoes after the shooting of the "Big Bussiness" in 1929.

He thought it funny that a mountain guru was telling him there's a point on the sole of your foot that connects to the heart. His giggles echoed in the studio. The guru got angry. He grabbed Laurel's shoe sole, drew on it the heart-point and went off to find Hardy. He was secretly hoping for a better reaction.
